Equal Partnership in the Ranch
Each owner has a 1/27 ownership share of the ranch and a voice in the management and operations of the Ranch through the Ranch Owners Association. The owners share ownership of the approximate 350 Red Angus cattle and calves on the Ranch. Proceeds from the sale of the grass-finished beef and other ranch foods are used to offset operational costs of the Ranch.
The owners have access to ranch grown foods including eggs, produce and vegetables as available and each owner receives a quarter (approximately 110 pounds) of grass-finished beef each year. At Maytag Mountain Ranch, you don?t just own Colorado ranch property but you own a piece of booming working ranch land that will yield dividends for many years to come.Ranch Ownership Without the Work
A primary benefit of ownership at Maytag Mountain Ranch over other ranches and properties for sale in Colorado is the ability to own a piece of a working ranch. Two full-time Ranch Managers and a seasonal ranch hand and gardener manage and operate the Ranch. The two managers live on the ranch year round, housed in individual caretaker homes and report to the Ranch Owners Association.
The managers and staff are responsible for feeding the cattle, horses and small ranch animals; maintaining the health of the animals; supplying and cleaning the barn; moving cattle; building and mending fences; planting and tending the gardens; conducting ranch maintenance and administration.Shared Amenities on the Ranch
The Ranch Owners share common areas and amenities including; two Owners Lodges, the Cookhouse, the barn, arena and pastures for grazing cattle and an area bordering the San Isabel National Forest.
